Position Summary:
The Trade Promotion Analyst’s primary role is to ensure all trade promotions are processed; all deductions are cleared in a timely manner; and be a resource to the finance and sales teams for trade spend reporting as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Ensure accurate and timely entry of trade promotions.
· Lead contact for the sales and finance teams for customer promotional activity.
· Analyze data and produce timely reports to stakeholders.
· Reduction/Maintenance of appropriate open deductions.
· Will assist with preparing reports for other non-trade promotion functions.
Key Activities:
· Work with finance deduction management team to ensure deductions are applied to appropriate trade promotions in a timely and accurate fashion.
· Build a working relationship with sales managers and brokers through scheduled meetings to review contract exceptions and changes.
· Analyze, research, and provide data on customer specific activity as needed.
· Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis including customer trade reports, regional spending reports, and monthly spend forecast reports.
· Clear deductions in a timely manner making sure to avoid them aging over 30 days old.
· Create Trade Agreements (TAs) for all promotional programs submitted by the sales team making sure they are entered accurately and in a timely manner.
· Must perform all other duties as assigned.
Necessary Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
· Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred, but not required.
· Experience with D365 preferred, but not required.
Skills Required:
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
· Strong verbal, written, interpersonal skills.
· Ability to quickly learn MS D365 system.
· Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, organized in approach and in document maintenance.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
