Full Stack Developer (Java)

As a Full Stack Developer in our innovative team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and evolution of our digital landscape, focusing on distributed, event-driven, cloud-native solutions. Your role delves deep into the full stack development process, emphasizing the creation and maintenance of robust production environments through proactive problem-solving and optimization. While user interface design remains within your purview, your primary charge is to enhance the support for our complex production instances. This involves mastering our diverse technological ecosystem and applying your expertise to maintain high-performance, scalable systems.

This position is designed for developers eager to leverage cloud-native technologies in addressing complex challenges and who aspire to expand their skill set within a dynamic, multifaceted environment. Role is part of the Chello's Technology, Operations and Development Team, works on-site and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and actively contribute to the resolution of production issues, utilizing a range of technologies including Java, Spring Framework, Node.js, Axios, CSS, HTML5, React.js, and Material UI.

Resolve production issues promptly, actively participating in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Ensure the reliability and performance of systems and applications, adhering to security standards and practices with a focus on data protection.

Knowledge of security compliance and operations.

Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents, collaborates with engineers, architects, and/or management to gather requirements, and define optimal solutions for our customers.

Create and maintain technical design documentation for all new developments and/or changes to existing systems to keep a record of the work performed.

Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.

Three (3) years of experience in software development specializing in Java required. Distributed cloud systems experience preferred.

Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.

Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces for web applications using React.js.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required.

Proficient in understanding cloud computing infrastructure concepts such as virtualization, networking & storage. AWS technology services experience highly desirable.

Experience in working with RESTful APIs

Knowledge of SDLC best practices, including DevOps.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of thinking strategically and acting tactically.

Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
