Caregiver

We are currently recruiting a Personal Support Worker to assist our male client, who has cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorder, in all activities of daily living.

He enjoys watching sports (NHL and NFL) as well as playing video games. He likes to attend the local theater to watch movies and would like to have someone to go with.

Location:

Maple Ridge (near Cottonwood North Park)

Compensation:

$22 per hour for day shift

$20 per hour for overnights

Shifts:

Sunday 8am to 8pm

Wednesday: 10pm to 8am (overnight)

Monday: 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

All aspects of Personal Care include, but are not limited to, showering, grooming dressing, washroom care

Use Ceiling Lift to transfer safely

train to work alongside behaviour support team (cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorder)

take client to the movie theater on Saturday afternoons

Night shift: bedtime care between 10pm-11:30pm, then sleep shift; occasionally one toileting or repositioning at night

Qualification:

First Aid/CPR is required

Willingness to learn

A Class 5 Driver's License required

Will need to complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
