About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our construction site operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to manage various aspects of site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Work Coordination:
Understand daily work targets from engineers and determine necessary manpower, equipment, and materials.
Mobilize required workers, tools, and equipment to the worksite.
Place requisitions for concrete and other materials needed during the day.
Supervision and Guidance:
Supervise and guide workers to ensure work is executed according to line, level, and desired workmanship.
Seek guidance from site engineers/Sr. Engineers for clarifications to ensure first-time-right work.
Ensure proper curing of works until the curing period is over.
Equipment and Material Management:
Monitor that equipment/machinery is not detained at the worksite longer than necessary.
Ensure timely placement of safety requirements as guided by the safety supervisor/steward.
Check material availability at the site and place requisitions in advance as per work requirements.
Minimize material wastage.
Safety and Housekeeping:
Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain housekeeping standards during the day and upon the closure of daily work.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in preparing work planning schedules, documentation, and progress reports.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
