Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, stimulant use, co-occurring disorders and has a methadone maintenance program. Under a passionate leadership team, Pyramid Healthcare in Harford offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare for psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc. through supportive environments offering patients the strength they need to overcome life’s challenges. We are currently seeking a Cook to collaborate with our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals and guide our clients in their recovery journey. Hourly Rate: $17.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established department policies and procedures.

• Assists with preparing and Serves meals in accordance with established portion and quality standards.

• Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks.

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment according to established procedures and return to storage areas.

• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.

• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food service work areas, dish room and storage areas.

• Sweeps and mops floors as assigned.

• Restocks food, beverages and supplies for meal service.

• Assists in the receiving, rotating and storage of food and supplies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Previous food preparation experience preferred.

Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred.

Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
