REMOTE SUPPORT ENGINEER

Unlimited Technology, designs, installs, and services integrated electronic and physical security systems (access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, physical barriers, etc.) for government and commercial entities. Though based primarily in the mid-Atlantic region, our team members dispatch to locations throughout the nation and occasionally overseas. POSITION SUMMARY

Working in the service Support department, the Remote Support Engineer will interface with UT/IST internal resources to support the essential job duties listed below. These duties will be fulfilled by interacting with, Operations, and Engineering departments, as assigned, for security system implementation, administration, as well as various other support tasks. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal resources to maintain these security systems and respond to and resolve and service requests related to outstanding issues.. This position reports directly to the RST Support Manager and is a fully remote position.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Work with technicians in the field to test and maintain security systems

Respond to service requests and resolve issues remotely.

Guide on-site technicians through the troubleshooting process to resolve service issues.

Provide remote support for scheduled testing and preventative maintenance procedures

System deployment and commissioning, as needed.

EXPERIENCE

5-7 years' technical experience in Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection

Experience in security system design for healthcare, government, K-12 and higher education environments.

Experience in supporting security systems for corporate environments and enterprise level customers

IT Systems/Network support and administration is beneficial

Experience with one or more of the followings software platforms is required: Genetec, Software House (CCure), Lenel, Gallagher, Milestone, Exacq, Salient (completeview), Bosch Intrusion, DLS Intrusion

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience (5+ years) with a technical focus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).

Team oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the security manufacturers noted above.

Understanding of IP network fundamentals
