Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with 1-2 years specifically in land development. This individual will play a key role in managing a variety of projects, including high-end residential homes, floodplain projects, commercial developments, and more. The Site Civil Engineer/Project Manager will be responsible for CAD work in AutoCAD, designing stormwater plans, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and overseeing project execution from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

Project Management: Manage and oversee various civil engineering projects, including residential, commercial, and floodplain projects. Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

CAD Design: Own the CAD work in AutoCAD, including preparing site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and other drawings as needed for project development. Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Stormwater Management: Design stormwater management systems, including detention ponds, retention basins, storm sewers, and erosion control measures. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals for stormwater management plans.

Regulatory Compliance: Work with local and state agencies, including IDOT and sewer districts, to obtain necessary permits and approvals for road permits, sewer connections, and other regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with zoning ordinances, building codes, and environmental regulations.

Project Coordination: Coordinate with project team members, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to develop integrated design solutions and ensure project success. Conduct regular meetings and site visits to monitor progress and address project issues as they arise.

Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on civil engineering projects. Understand client needs, objectives, and expectations, and provide responsive and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks on project deliverables, including plans, specifications, and reports, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Address any deficiencies or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

2-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with 1-2 years specifically in land development.

Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Civil 3D preferred.

Strong understanding of stormwater management principles, regulations, and design standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
