This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! We are looking for a passionate, engaged, Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner who is interested in a growing Urology practice with a focus on Men's Health

Summary of Duties: Responsibilities include mostly office, however, may also include hospital rounds and assisting in surgery. Urology is an exciting specialty, covering wide range of conditions and patients.

Essential Functions:

Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.

Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.

Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, interpreting test results.

Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.

Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.

Perform urological procedures such as catheterization, cystoscopy, and stent removals under the supervision of a urologist.

Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care practices and improve outcomes.

Stay updated on advancements in urological treatments, procedures, and guidelines.

Conduct self in accordance with Las Vegas Urology's employee manual.

Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) / Nurse Practitioner-Certified (NP-C) / APRN

Prior experience in urology or a related field is preferred.

Skills/Experience:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to work under pressure.
