We are searching for an Assistant Customer Service Manager to join our team at our location coming soon to Alpharetta. This position is part of our Retail Team which oversees the day-to-day operations of the branch. The focus is to ensure the branch functions optimally in the areas of development of new business and servicing existing accounts. They are also responsible for providing coaching and direction to retail staff in the pursuit of exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships, serving as their trusted banker by having an advanced knowledge of the Bank's products and services.

Quotes products and rates in effort to promote and inform customers of the Bank's products and services.

Represents the Bank in business development efforts in the community and at community events.

Helps customers by opening new accounts including DDA, savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, and other bank products.

Enhances customer relationships by meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner, handling customer complaints and special circumstances.

Assists Customer Service Manager in maintaining the exterior and interior of the branch to create a welcoming and professional environment for both customers and employees.

Educates customer about common scams, identity theft risks, and fraud prevention measures in order to protect the Bank's customers and assets.

Follows established dual control procedures, including but not limited to, opening/closing the Branch.

Ensures that night drop deposits are properly collected, logged, and processed according to Bank procedures.

Answers phone and assists caller and/or transfers callers to appropriate personnel.

Maintains a work area which ensures the safety and confidentiality of all customer records and transactions.

Assists Customer Service Manager in ensuring branch staff is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules governing the Bank's products and services.

Understands and complies with Bank Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

Works as Teller or Vault Teller when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred. Will accept equivalent banking industry experience in lieu of Associate or Bachelor's degree.

2 years banking experience, preferably in a Customer Service Role.

Experience with Jack Henry Products is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to accurately process and handle cash.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the applications, hardware, and software used in the Bank.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Environment and Physical Activity

Fast-paced banking/business office environment with standard office temperature, moderate noise from computer(s), printer(s), telephone, fax, copier, scanner and other office equipment, and median traffic.

Ability to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, reach, left (up to 25 pounds), and stand for various lengths of time and meet other physical demands required to perform the job.

Ability to operate and use a computer, printer, telephone, fax, copier, scanner, other office equipment and tools as needed and used to perform the job.
