A high-profile family is seeking a personal assistant in SOHO NYC, starting July 1st. Candidates will work out of the family office in the same building as the family’s main residence, though there will also be opportunities to work remotely. The schedule will be 9am-6pm Sunday through Thursday, or Monday through Friday (they are open to both options), though candidates should also be available by phone or text after hours and on weekends, as required.
Responsibilities
Managing the principal’s personal/social calendar, travel (domestic and international), and all appointments (medical/wellness/dinner services reservations etc.), as well as keeping on top of the children’s personal and academic schedules/appointments (aged 3.5 and 5-years-old)
Traveling ahead to destinations in order to set up the space prior to the family’s arrival
Assistance managing the principals’ 9 properties (two of which are abroad), though all properties have individuals on-site who troubleshoot any major issues.
Assistance with budgets, and managing micro bills
Managing the principal’s wardrobe, coordinating with household staff (chef, nanny, driver, housekeepers, landscaper, etc.), liaison with designers, vendors/contractors, etc.
Assistance managing the family’s fleet of vehicles- taking vehicles to the garage/ensuring they are maintained etc.
The principal spends December in Johannesburg, so the candidate will be required to manage the principal’s life as usual, but is likely to have more capacity to work remotely during this time.
There will be travel to domestic and international locations (e.g. California, Paris, Johannesburg), so candidates absolutely must be passport-ready.
Multiple miscellaneous tasks e.g. prepping cat food, stocking the boathouse, and sourcing items such as matching bathing suits and towels etc.

Be seasoned, presentable, and capable of hitting the ground running
Be supremely organized, with meticulous attention to detail and superlative communication skills
Capable of managing a multitude of lists with follow through and accountability
Polished, poised, and professional, with excellent professional boundaries and a high EQ
Be personable, warm, kind, and proactive team-player with a pitch-in mentality and an aesthetic sensibility (there is ongoing construction taking place at some of the residential locations, and the principal would welcome any aesthetic insight/input)
Be child-friendly- there may be the odd occasion where mom might request you spend a small window of time with the children, in the absence of their nannies (for whatever reason)
Be pet-friendly - there is a cat, so those candidates with cat allergies would not be best suited to this role
