Orthopedic Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team! You will provide healthcare services, under the supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities:

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRI scans, and blood tests

Assess patients' musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and pain levels

Develop treatment plans in consultation with the supervising Orthopedic Surgeon

Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and other non-surgical treatments

Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options

Educate patients on post-operative care, rehabilitation exercises, and pain management

Conduct preoperative assessments and ensure patients are prepared for surgery

Maintain detailed patient records, including medical histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes

Be willing to commute to any of outpatient facilities across the 5 boroughs

Qualifications:

Experienced in evaluating the musculoskeletal system, treating pain management, and orthopedic surgery patients.

Familiarity with medical tools and equipment

Familiarity with electronic medical records system, our practice is heavily integrated and uses PrognoCIS

Ability to build rapport with patients

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physician Assistant (PA) License or Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
