POSITION PURPOSE The Video Producer and Editor will be responsible for creating compelling digital and on-air content to attract, inform, encourage giving, and engage new and returning audiences.

This position will also work alongside production, membership, development, and partners with our content division.

The Video Producer and Editor will work from pre-production to completion, creating multiple outputs to distribute on a variety of channels including social media, streaming applications, and traditional radio and television broadcasts.

This role will ensure that content is created and published in a strategic manner to best suit both the platform and the audience.

This role may also be asked to assist on other productions as needed, both in the studio and in the field.

Write, shoot, edit, and publish video and digital content across multiple distribution platforms.

Work collaboratively with the Development team to produce engaging, effective fundraising content and assist them with the execution of radio, television, and digital campaign efforts.

Plan and execute the production of on-air and digital fundraising, including scripting, producing, and editing; ensuring fundraising messages and programming highlights are multiplatform including print.

Tell compelling stories through video in a way that is factual, engaging, and audience-focused.

Edit in a variety of formats including digital episodes, vertical videos, gifs, teases, promos and sizzle reels.

Create motion graphics for projects in the video department and content division.

Ensure that content adheres to public media standards.

Collaborate across departments to ensure all content remains on brand and on message.

Strategize how to reach appropriate audiences through networking and community partnerships.

Incorporate written and verbal feedback throughout the production process.

Use data and feedback to adjust production and distribution strategies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience unless otherwise noted below.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Production, Journalism, Communications or related field 3+ years' professional video and/or audio editing experience Digital portfolio or samples of previous work KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required: Excellent computer skills: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Mac and PC operating systems.

Creative mindset with the ability to collaborate with others.

Professional and punctual, always meets deadlines and is respectful of colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to work and problem solve quickly and independently with little supervision.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under time constraints.

Preferred: Previous experience working in public media and producing pledge-related content.

Multi-camera studio directing experience.

Ability to create motion graphics.
