Personal Attributes, Education & Qualifications

A degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline i.e., MSc, BEng, BSc (Hons) or similar.

Willingness to travel internationally and relocated to work sites including offshore.

Be able to work independently with little supervision but strong sense of responsibility

A good command of English both verbal and written.

A good command of verbal Mandarin with reading being an advantage.

Position Recommended Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum 15 years of work experience in oil and gas of which 10 years must be related to upstream offshore sector. Project and operational Experience in a similar role with an Oil and gas Operator an advantage.

Familiar with all international standards and Codes of Practice.

Proficiency in using 3D modelling and design software i.e., Navisworks is a pre-requisite.

Extensive experience of piping and layout engineering specifically offshore survey requirements, 3D modelling detail assessments to include but not limited to clash checking, operational and maintenance requirements of key packages/systems.

Familiar with process systems/ packaged equipment design discipline during the detailed design of offshore facilities, construction, commissioning and operations of the facilities.

Knowledgeable in the design and operation of production facilities including large Processing Platforms, pipelines, integration with subsea equipment and other offshore facilities.

Intimate familiarity with offshore engineering, site fabrication and construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, offshore hookup and commissioning, and direct operations support and trouble shooting.

Previous experience in gas field operation and facilities an advantage.

Working experience in South East Asia or China is an advantage.

Position Role and Responsibilities

Act as Company Piping and Equipment Layout/ PDMS Engineer, overseeing the EPCIC contractors engineering design and responsible for defining the requirements of the layout design of equipment, piping systems, materials selection, interfaces with mechanical, electrical and instrument packaged equipment etc., to ensure the design criteria of safe, accessible for operations and maintenance and fit for purpose design are met.

Ensure that all legislative requirements relating to offshore facilities in Myanmar are complied with in respect to the above and are correctly implemented.

Interface with other engineering disciplines on their requirements and ensure the requirements are incorporated within design & integration of the equipment.

Monitoring the Engineering Contractor's piping design specifications/ integration activities and progress during the Design Phases.

Respond to technical queries, deviation & exception to specifications, codes and standards, undertake and/ or participate in project studies, and liaison with equipment vendors.

Interface and coordinate within the Company's project management team and other discipline engineers on matters relating to engineering design, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, brownfield construction and hook-up & commissioning and support the performance management of EPCIC Contractors.

Ensure technical compliance, accuracy, quality and execution of all aspects of offshore design in design, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and testing.

Liaise with Company's quality, pre-commissioning/ commissioning and start-up teams and assist in the review of work and start-up procedures, evaluation and resolution of technical issues, active participation in review workshops and inspection to ensure the work is carried out safely and with the minimum interruption.

Perform equipment bid clarification and evaluations from a piping perspective and attend pre-award and coordinator meetings between equipment suppliers.

Provide Company interface to the legislative bodies (e.g., Certifying bodies) with respect to the equipment and safety issues.

Provide piping and layout input into HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SILs and other safety related analysis and documentation.

Provide Site support during Fabrication phase in regards to follow on engineering, and addressing of site queries.

As part of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning teams provide direct support to yard commissioning activities in regards to planning, development of procedures, interface coordination and execution of the works.

HSE

Responsible for own safety and the protection of others.

Quality/ HSE Focus and team oriented.

All works conducted will be done so in a safe manner utilizing all safety equipment/ procedures and PPE necessary to complete the specific work.

Play active role in all HSE related areas.

Other Skills

The development of all relevant procedures and guidelines.

Complete necessary documentation as and when requested.

Review and comment on EPCIC contractors documents.

Review and comment on Package Vendor documents.
