PURPOSE OF THE JOB:As an HSE Inspector you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards across our engineering projects. You will conduct inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within our organization and among our project partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stay abreast of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, codes, and industry standards applicable to engineering consultancy projects.

Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to project teams, ensuring adherence to legal obligations and best practices.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of project sites, offices, equipment, and work processes to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with HSE requirements.

Document inspection findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions, and track the implementation of corrective measures.

Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to identify, evaluate, and prioritize workplace hazards and environmental risks.

Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement control measures, safe work practices, and engineering controls to mitigate identified risks.

Investigate HSE incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental spills to determine root causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned.

Prepare incident reports, documentation, and recommendations for corrective actions, and communicate findings to management, project stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.

Develop and deliver HSE training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to educate employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.

Promote a proactive safety culture and environmental stewardship mindset through engagement, communication, and recognition of HSE achievements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

Professional certification in HSE (e.g., CSP, CHST, NEBOSH) preferred.

years of experience in HSE inspection, auditing, and management, preferably within the engineering consultancy or construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and relevant international standards.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in conducting HSE inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence behavior and drive positive change.

Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software/tools.
