Position Summary:

As a Civil Designer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our client’s mission to deliver exceptional engineering solutions. Collaborating closely with engineers and the operations team, you will contribute to the development of detailed design drawings and plans that adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize and develop detailed designs for a diverse range of civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading plans, utility layouts, and roadways.

Drafting and Documentation Excellence: Utilize industry-leading software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to produce accurate and detailed construction plans. Your role will involve modifying pipes and structures, developing profile views for annotation, and annotating construction plans as required.

Project Coordination and Oversight: Manage, oversee, and coordinate the production of all ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will support operational teams as needed and make changes to the site under the direction of the Engineer.

Operational Efficiency and Workflow Development: Develop and maintain operational workflows and standards, driving efficiency and consistency across all projects. You will also provide staff training as necessary, empowering our team to deliver their best work.

Quality Assurance and Compliance: Review surfaces and determine key design points for optimal project outcomes. Additionally, you will develop erosion controls, utility plans, dimension control plans, and detention/WQ plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Confidentiality and Executive Support: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and project information. You will also provide support to the President and executive team as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in land development, with a penchant for perfection and an eye for detail.

Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Motivated self-starter with effective time management and logical decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in Civil 3D and a solid understanding of construction plan sets are non-negotiables.

Knowledge of project management practices and methodologies is a must.
