Job Summary:
As the Head of Global Trade, you'll coordinate the execution of international trade and payment transactions efficiently and cost-effectively, in line with the bank's overall strategy. Your role will ensure the seamless delivery of foreign banking services to esteemed clients.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Regular/Routine:
Formulate forex policies and procedures in line with regulatory guidelines.
Develop proposals and liaise with multilateral agencies on FCY lines of credit.
Implement strategies for global trade and ensure maximum utilization of FCY lines in partnership with Commercial Banking Group.
Manage and maintain correspondent banking relationships, providing recommendations to management.
Oversee all international trade operations and develop/manage international payment platforms.
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain an interface with regulatory bodies.
Properly document all foreign trade activities.
Develop trade finance strategies/solutions for bank customers.
Oversee back-office operations (e.g., cheques for collection) and invisible transactions efficiently.
Ensure accurate and timely collation of returns.
Develop manpower and resource requirements for the group.
Provide career development for direct reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Operations.

Specifications:
Minimum Education: A good first Degree in any discipline. A relevant Master's degree and professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Formal Training: Banking Law/Regulations.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in a bank/financial institution. Experience in foreign banking operations will be an added advantage.
