Department: Enterprise Systems Department

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Enterprise Systems Department department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team of innovators in driving advancements in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for software development teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other related technologies. This individual will play a key role in modernizing our software development processes and infrastructure to achieve greater automation, scalability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Collaborate with software development teams to understand current processes and identify areas for CI/CD implementation and improvement

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple software projects

Automate deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software updates

Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and scalability

Work with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues

Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements to continuously improve our CI/CD capabilities

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

5 years of relevant working experience .

This position is 100% remote. Out of state candidates are accepted. East Coast strongly preferred

Required Skills:

Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role 5 Years

GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other relevant tools and technologies 5 Years

Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation 5 Years

Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell 5 Years

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams, researchers, and faculty.

Highly Desired Skills:

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
