Primary Responsibilities

Manage operational indirect purchasing activity for Novanta Medical business (production and non-production facilities and services) by constantly driving suppliers towards improving Quality, Cost and Delivery levels.

Carry out complex purchasing tasks from enquiries.

Improve commercial/procurement conditions (price, lead time, payment terms, etc.) continuously.

Conduct correspondence and negotiations with suppliers independently.

Seek out potential suppliers and develop new sources of supplies.

Optimize purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Maintain ongoing internal cross-functional communication and as well with suppliers.

Document purchasing processes in full.

Management of all sterilization process.

Communication and negotiation with Sterilization company.

Document sterilization processes in full.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

Strong ability to communicate and influence.

Ability to learn new systems, meets objectives and works independently in a matrix organization – Minimal supervision.

Good Communication Skills.

Flexible approach with strong Team Spirit.

Confident use of advanced IT skills in carrying out tasks (MS Office Excel).

Good SAP knowledge

Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills in English; German is a plus.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel to Novanta location and business partners (low intensity)
