Position: CNC programmer
Working Hours: 8 am to 5 pm / Monday to Friday
Salary Range: 2000 USD
Type of contract: independent contractor
Responsibilities
Create and refine CNC programs to improve efficiency, quality, and production times.
Utilize CAD and CAM software to design and produce precision parts, ensuring seamless integration with CNC machinery.
Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machines, ensuring they are properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
Write, modify, and troubleshoot G-Code to ensure accurate machine operations and part production.
Provide technical support and guidance to machinists and operators on the shop floor.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, setup sheets, and operational procedures.
Work closely with design and engineering teams to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Train and mentor junior CNC programmers and machinists, sharing best practices and ensuring knowledge transfer.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure regular upkeep and troubleshooting of CNC machinery
Requirements
Strong skills in using CAD software.
Practical experience with Solidworks and AutoDesk software is required.
Ability to read, write, and modify G-Code.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Swiss-type CNC machines is a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming.
Conversational proficiency in English is necessary.
Ability to guide CNC programming techniques and best practices.
