Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):

Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field, and demonstrated knowledge of/education in statistical packages including C++, R, and Matlab, as well as a record of research in applied mathematics/statistics/biostatistics.

Brief Description of Duties:

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (Stony Brook, NY) at Stony Brook University seeks Data Manager/Biostatistician.

Duties:

Work with investigators, research coordinators, medical students, and post-graduate fellows to complete various translational and clinical research projects. Collaborate with other statisticians.

Apply statistical skills to the design of research studies.

Work as a member of a research/study team to provide appropriate statistical input in the design, execution, and analysis of studies.

Perform statistical analyses under the direction of Senior Biostatistician and Investigators.

Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis.

Assist in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, monitoring, verification, and management of statistical data.

Participate in preparation of written and oral presentations that summarize the analysis of data, interpret the findings, and provide conclusions and recommendations.

Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
