Haribo of America is hiring a National Account Manager – Alternative & Specialty Channels. The field based/remote position is responsible for directly managing and growing the strategic partnership between HARIBO and our retailers along with managing select distributor relationships for assigned channels for Alternative & Specialty Channels throughout the entire United States.

The ideal National Account Manager – Alternative & Specialty Channels candidate will have 5+ years of experience of account management / business development within the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Additionally, the ideal National Account Manager candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, prior experience selling into corporate headquarters (headquarter calls with Buyers, etc), strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, regularly with overnight stays.

Responsibilities:

Develop and executive strategies and plans to meet assigned sales and market share goals for HARIBO in the Alternative & Specialty channels (ex: vending, movie theaters, specialty retailers, military, and other non-traditional locations to make HARIBO product available for sale)

Lead, collaborate, and hold Distributors and Brokers accountable for plans throughout the entire United States

Create and execute annual joint business plans, partnering with internal and external stakeholders

Regularly provide business updates and reporting to key stakeholders

Leverage our HARIBO product brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, shopper, and HARIBO targets

Work with Demand Planning to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve forecast accuracy

Own, manage, and develop strong relationships with customers/retailers in our alternative & specialty retail channels

Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of experience of account management / business development within the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Experience with multiple channels/classes of trade

Prior experience with headquarter calls, meeting/selling directly into corporate buyers, corporate decision makers

Experience with IRI, Nielsen, or other forms of syndicated data

Ability to travel up to 40% of the time with overnights stays

This is a remote, field based position that covers the entire United States

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in sales/account management/business development within the candy, confectionary, or snack industry

Prior experience selling into alternative retail channels and specialty retail channels. For example vending, movie theaters, specialty retailers, military, and other non-traditional locations to make HARIBO product available for sale

Entrepreneurial spirit, passion to win, and the ability to work well with others

Experience using fact-based selling

Experience managing trade-spend – both working and non-working trade

Ability to work in fast-paced and growing organization

Strong analytical skills, ability to use and interpret data

Skills

Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Negotiation training preferred
