Cabinet Builder / Bench Carpenter

Salary:

Opening for cabinet builders and bench carpenters available immediately. If you like a fast paced creative environment with large, complex builds, but you sweat the details and respect having a clean, safe build environment, then this is a position for you.

Cadence is a premier builder of theatrical scenic elements, tradeshows and consumer activations. All our work is custom. No two projects are the same and we work in a combination of wood, metal, acrylic, and even sculpted foam. We have positions for carpenters with experience in cabinet/furniture building, millwork, laminating, and joinery. Candidates with CNC experience are a plus. Shop hours are flexible.

The ideal candidates will have 10+ years experience, good references, and a portfolio of projects. Pay is commensurate upon experience, but we are a very competitive employer. We offer strong health, dental and vision plans, PTO and holiday pay. Work hard, play hard.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

This is a non-bargaining unit position

Abilities and Skills

Must possess strong bench carpentry skills - furniture, cabinet building, millwork

Demonstrates mastery in wood based construction and joinery

Specific experience in lamination and cabinet assembly required

Can read shop drawings - ability to work in metric a plus, but not required

Familiar with safe operation of woodworking tools - routers, planer, joiner, table saw, chop saw, etc.

Welding a plus

Spray finishing a plus

Low voltage electrical - cabinet lighting, audio-visual, wiring, soldering, etc. a plus

Demonstrate an eye for detail and accuracy

Works in an organized fashion - keeps a clean workspace

Ability to lift heavy load (up to 80 lbs.)

Motivated, willing to learn and self-educate for unique builds

Self-paced with ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task multiple projects

Schedule

Standard Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, some overtime and weekends may be required.
