We are looking for a SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER!

Pay: $115,000 -$156,000 DOE

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Conceptualizes, develops, and designs structures, mechanisms, and mechanical systems in accordance with customer requirements and customary standards

Performs required calculations, analysis, and comprehensive tolerance stack-up analyses

Supports the engineering group while leading in all aspects of mechanical design

Leads design efforts on systems and sub-systems, often on multiple programs simultaneously

Supports proposal, quick-turn concept design and presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE RECUIRMENTS:

B.S. or M.S. Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Typically possesses 6+ years aerospace and/or defense experience, including exposure to electromechanical systems

Proven experience in leading product development tests, including qualification test series

Proficient in the use of data acquisition systems and instrumentation

Background and experience with heat transfer, structural analysis, dynamics/ kinematics, advanced high-strength materials, CAD and machine design

Proficient in SolidWorks, and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Must be a U.S. citizen and hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
