The temporary Accounting Clerk is primarily responsible for the financial record keeping of Tailwind Group. A successful Accounting Clerk will work on ad hoc department projects, focus on reporting and data migration, and provide month end support. This individual will also build relationships with other departments and understand that this role is critical to the reputation of Tailwind Group.

This is a temporary position beginning as soon as possible and continuing through September 2024.

The compensation range for this position is $18 - $20/hr depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

Model and cascade Tailwind Group’s five core values: Entrepreneurial, Versatile, Responsive, Innovative, and Integrity.

Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department.

General ledger maintenance, including adjusting journal entries.

Ensure correct entry, approval, sorting, coding, and matching of payables and receivables to prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.

Maintain daily bank reconciliations.

Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.

Support the reporting and data entry process for current system migration.

Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.

Ensure proper banking is set up for newly acquired properties.

Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and/or two or more years of progressive experience in accounting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to read, analyze, articulate, and compile financial reports used for business correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Possess strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.

Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Be a self-motivated individual and excel at working in a team environment.

Ability to have a positive and innovative approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience with Entrata software is preferred.
