Job Description:

Candidates must be local to the Asburn, VA office and able to work onsite occasionally.

We are an established team who support Custom Border Protection (CBP) at Cargo Systems Program Directorate (CSPD) to help them accomplish the vision of a streamlined, paperless, single window electronic filing using Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) systems. We would like to add a Senior Java developer (5+ years’ experience) to our team

HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

5+ years of Java development experience, Java 8 and higher

Experience using Angular 2.X

Experience developing against relational databases and solid SQL querying skills

3+ years’ experience with web services development – SOAP/REST

3+ years’ experience of UI development

Experience writing automated unit tests

Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and AWS

Experience working on an Agile Team

Willingness and ability to support and mentor other team members

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

US CITIZENSHIP Required

Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience

Minimum Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field or relevant experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
