JOB SUMMARY

BASIS Ed Texas is seeking a Content Manager to join our growing team! As a Content Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our content strategy across digital and print platforms — that aligns with our company’s vision and resonates with our target audience. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead content creation efforts and shape our brand’s voice. Your exceptional writing skills, strategic thinking and attention to detail will contribute to enhancing our brand presence, engaging our audience and driving school enrollment. The Content Manager is extremely motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong writing, organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills. This role is hybrid, with part of the week at our office in Scottsdale.

The BASIS Ed Texas Marketing & Creative Services department serves as the in-house advertising agency for the Texas and Arkansas regions. You will work with a team of marketers and designers to create compelling integrated, regional multi-channel campaigns and meaningful marketing materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Content Management and Marketing

• Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives, target audience and brand guidelines.

• Manage communication and tracking of the content strategies and project plans for digital marketing across websites, email, video, blogs, and social media

Collaborate with graphic designers and provide creative input for graphic designs needed.

Review copy/messaging and designs, provide feedback to and ensure content is accurate and aligns with goals

Draft and review copy for all content mediums; Interact with internal team members to create and review all content and ensure consistent messaging

• Lead the development of content and marketing campaigns and work with the Digital Marketing Specialist and design team to build and deploy strategic campaigns.

• In tandem with the Marketing Team, help execute various content marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, boost website traffic, and improve conversions.

• Build automation, engage audiences, and help grow the reach by building brand awareness, as needed.

• Lead the efforts and manage the media communications calendars including press releases, editorial calendars, and style guides.

• Manage website content, including writing, editing and optimizing new and existing content as well as organizing and maintaining website copy documents to ensure all content is tracked and up to date.

• Review effectiveness of executed content strategies and adjusts plans as necessary; review web content for SEO optimization and recommend revisions as needed.

• Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement rates and conversions, and make data-driven recommendations.

• Research industry trends, market insights and competitor analysis to inform content development and identify opportunities.

• Ensure deliverables meet marketing guidelines, brand standards, and deadlines.

• Act as point of contact for outside marketing agencies and vendors.

• Proven ability to execute a content strategy that aligns with brand identity, appeals to the target audience and drives business goals.

• Demonstrate knowledge/experience in marketing/design.

• Must be able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to change quickly and positively.

• Teamwork and the ability to communicate with team members effectively.

• Willingness and ability to learn new skills as needed.

• Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Must be influential, persuasive, communicative with strong administrative abilities.

• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.

• This role may require travel (up to 10%) for training or company events.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

• Requires 3-5 years of Marketing related experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Superior writing and editing skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to proof content.

• An ability to provide inside and strategic recommendations to achieve project objectives.

• Strong computer skills: a high proficiency in MS Office and tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams) is essential.

• Experience working with email marketing tools like Constant Contact, Klaviyo, Mail Chimp, Marketing Cloud, etc

• Experience working with social media management tools like Sprout Social, Loomly, etc

• Experience working in project management tools is a plus but not required (ex: Asana, Monday, etc)
