Job Summary:
Aurorium is currently seeking a Lead Buyer to be located at one of our manufacturing facilities in the US. The roles will help deliver the goals and objectives of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization. The role supports global sourcing project execution of all aspects of the procurement process relating to tolling, packaging, and direct materials. The ideal candidates will be self-starters focused on delivering results who can work independently, identify, and provide continuous improvement opportunities, and thrive in a team environment.

Commodities and projects:
Lead sourcing effort of assigned commodities and tolling projects
Manage contract negotiation and pricing updates of assigned products
Negotiate based on the best value, service, and quality as per requirements
Select and manage vendor relationship
Engage the Quality and Commercial team in the new supplier qualification process
Work closely with the supply chain on getting rolling forecasts for production
requirements and collaborate on solutions
Understand and analyze cost and market drivers that impact assigned products and
services
Monitor and evaluate Supplier/Toller performance
Conduct alternative sourcing to reduce single and sole sourcing
Data governance and reporting:
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve
effectiveness.
Monitor commodity market trends and provide monthly updates
Coordinate with other functions to review and reconcile quality, pricing, and delivery
differences.
Update and maintain lead times and minimum/optimal order quantities in SAP
Attending, schedule, and participate in various meetings.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Support New Product Development sourcing efforts

Qualifications/Desired Skills:
Education and Qualifications:
Business or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience:
+5 years’ experience demonstrated procurement experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with a solid understanding of legal and commercial terms and conditions
Toller management experience is a plus
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and matrix organization
Strong working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office
A change agent with knowledge of process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, MRP, others)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to adjust to the fast-moving working environment, handling multiple competing goals and objectives.
