Civil Engineer / Surveyor

Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for you to utilize your passion for science, engineering and surveying while working on civil/environmental engineering projects including: site grading, stormwater management, storm and sanitary sewer design, water supply systems and road design, topographic plans, environmental regulations, drafting (AutoCAD Civil 3D), cost estimation, specifications, report preparation (Word/Excel), and erosion & sediment control inspections, boundary and topographic surveys.

Possible daily work will include the following:

· Prepare site and subdivision plans, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, for residential, commercial and industrial projects

· Perform engineering design for stormwater management, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water lines, public street design, erosion and sediment control plans, fire lanes, pavement, striping and signage plans, maintenance of traffic plans

· Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs

· Prepare construction cost estimates

· Prepare environmental reports

· Oversee construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans and specifications

· Review local zoning codes, permitting requirements and process submittals

· Assist in maintaining client relationships by providing exceptional services and quality through our deliverable

· Leadership skills and the ability to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to the client

· Create and execute social media strategies

· Work with the marketing team to improve website and increase our web presence

Boundary & Topographic surveys

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Surveying; experience in a civil engineering preferred

· Experience in civil design; knowledge of environmental regulations a plus

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Solid organizational and time management skills

· Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment

· A positive attitude and willingness to learn

· Unwavering personal integrity
