Role Details:

Direct Hire!

Salary: $63,000-$70,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

The EHS Safety Specialist is responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety programs. This individual will have specific responsibility for implementation and maintenance of assigned EHS programs.

Daily Responsibilities:

Assist with the development, evaluation, implementation and administration of EHS, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational health policies and programs

Coach and mentor employees at all levels on safe work place behaviors

Proactively work to identify and communicate EHS safety concerns and assist in resolving

Collect, organize, and maintain data and records for EHS permit compliance and reporting

Conduct, coordinate and participate in EHS inspections and audits

Assist in the preparation and delivery of EHS training to employees, visitors, and contractors

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in science related field

Willing to substitute education for experience

1-3 years of direct experience in Environmental Health & Safety; ideally in chemical field

Knowledge of OSHA regulations; specifically, 29 CFR 1910

General knowledge of ISO 14001; preferred

Proficient with MS Office products

Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time
