Responsibilities with building utilities, systems, and controls to support the operation of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Participates in review of system design, maintenance and operation of all Facilities related equipment. Supports efforts with manufacturing equipment including water plants, chillers, boilers, cooling water systems, compressed air, specialty gases, chemicals, and HVAC related equipment. Performs necessary tasks to maintain regulatory requirements of federal, state, and local codes; includes gas scrubber and wastewater operations, and storm water emissions. Interface with and manage service providers and contractors as required to complete assigned projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Facilities system owner for assigned site mechanical utility systems. Responsibilities include coordinating preventative maintenance, repairs, operating and capital budgets and managing system improvement projects.

Ensure reliable operation of Facility systems to avoid impacts to operations.

Manage projects including inception, design and bid proposals. Interface with vendors and contractors to manage project schedule, budget and equipment commissioning.

Create system specifications, operating procedures and critical spares for site utility systems.

Involvement with utility building equipment operations (instrument air, boiler, chiller, water treatment and power operations) to provide reliable and continuous plant operation.

Participation in site safety and environmental goals.

Participation in 5S and Lean manufacturing methods to achieve a high performance environment.

Lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of utility systems common of a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

Administrative and technical leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments.

Experience with building maintenance management systems (procedures, PM’s, work orders, and work documentation).

Troubleshooting utility system operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommending corrective measures.

Ability to read, interpret and create blueprints and schematics.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience in this field

4+ years of experience preferred.
