The Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for leading, planning and coordination of engineering activities at the production plant.
Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions. Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc. of all equipment.
Responsible for and direction of the engineering studies, drawings, layout sketches, material lists, estimates and preparation of request for proposed capital expenditures.
Responsible for the supervision of projects/people necessary for the continued improvement and modernization of the plant and its local environment. Ensure completion of projects within budgets.
Develop and maintain annual capital budget and 5-year capital plan. Perform project descriptions, capital appropriation request and cost justification.
Establish best practice to achieve goals on quality scorecard, standards, and equipment packing process.
Drive continuous improvement to improve plant overall equipment effectiveness. Maintain cost saving ideas/project.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years of relevant experience.
AutoCAD, Project and Contractor Management skills.
Leadership and organizational skills
Demonstrated skill in solving complex technical problems.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
