As a Systems Support Technician, you will be tasked with aiding the corporate office and 30+ California and Arizona locations in various IT projects - ranging from software-related how-tos and support to computer configuration, repair, and installation. Previous experience with PC and server support is vital for this position. Responsibilities for IT are always changing to accommodate the dynamic environment at Turner's Outdoorsman. The IT department works in close liaison with other departments to find solutions to problems and means for improvement.
This is a Direct Hire position
5 days a week but including 1 weekend which will be a WFH day.
Hours will be 10 AM to 7 PM PST
TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience with Point of Sale / Retail / Distribution Center operations.
Scripting, Backups, Recovery, Migrations
Experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server, Linux scripting, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Microsoft Exchange (email support), Active Directory (onboard/Offboard, Password changes), Microsoft Hyper-V, and VMWare
PHP and HTML knowledge (for ecommerce and Web Presence) - nice to have
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Windows 10 / Windows 11 / Windows Server operating systems
Experience with PC and peripheral setup, repair, and troubleshooting
Computer networking (configuration and maintenance) background
Experience managing users in Active Directory and licensing in Microsoft 365, configuring and managing mailboxes in Exchange, working with virtual machines (Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Interpersonal skills - listening and seeking clarification, while responding well to individuals at all levels and ensuring all parties are informed
Experience in retail or other fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task while triaging
Some college, especially coursework related to IT
Eligible to work in the firearms industry
Job Responsibilities:
Work with other members of the IT department to ensure that all systems are operating correctly
Configure new machines/peripherals, fulfill hardware requests, and maintain asset logs
Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and support requests in order of severity
Document steps and resolutions to streamline future exposure
Perform testing and find preventative measures for new hardware and software
Maintain server and router backups with various medias
Assist in assessing and improving IT systems, architectures, and processes
Travel (up to 35% of the time; driving, occasional flights, and infrequent overnight travel) to help support new store openings, special events, and general business flow
Assume additional responsibilities and perform other tasks, as directed
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Knowledge of Celerant Retail and Made4Net WMS software
Experience with T-SQL, HTML, CSS, PHP, ColdFusion
Experience with SonicWall routers
Cybersecurity / PCI background
Familiarity with Linux and macOS/iOS
Degree or certifications in an IT field
