Overview

The Estimator is a vital role to enable successful sales efforts and Company growth. The Estimator is responsible for performing site walks, documenting solution device locations, coordinating Subcontractor quotes, assembling detailed estimates for products, materials, and labor to deliver high-quality physical safety, security, audio-visual, and paging solutions for our clients, supporting the sales and operations organizations. The SE must effectively collaborate with Customers and the Sales and Operations Teams and other corporate team members to create and deliver accurate and detailed project estimates and solution proposals for our best-in-class solutions.

The position is responsible for gathering site specific information and the assembly of accurate and detailed project estimates, effective time management, technical expertise, timely delivery of project estimates, and effective communication with sales and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging around our overall Core Focus.Roles & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct site surveys and gather all necessary information to accurately quote project.

· Accurately estimate / quote projects to include solution, equipment, infrastructure, conduit, cabling, labor, etc.

· Assemble detailed technical solution proposals.

· Achieve expertise and stay current on products and technologies, and attain certifications as needed.

· Attend Industry Events and meetings as required.Qualifications

· 3 years of direct security industry experience in designing, estimating, or installing video surveillance, access control, fire, alarm, paging speaker systems.

· Strong knowledge of security best practices and direct experience with at least one video solution platform, and one access control solution platform (Avigilon ACC/ACM preferred, Genetec, iPro, Lenel, AMAG, Singlewire, Advance Network Devices, Paging Systems)

· Previous experience in video surveillance and access control systems and ability to demonstrate knowledge.

· Team player: desire to collaborate with different teams and people with a positive, can-do attitude.

· Willingness to operate remotely; self-sufficient.

· Proven competency in both technical skills and oral/written communication
