The role of Project Accountant provides our project team with accounting support. As a Project Accountant, you will be required to report to the Accounting Supervisor and manage all project bills and invoices. Your duties will also include reviewing budgets and preparing financial reports. To be successful as a Project Accountant, you should possess experience in accounting and the ability to provide project managers with accurate financial information. Responsibilities of Role
to the Accounting Supervisor or other project managers as required
budgets, hours, work plans, and fee structures
project managers and clients with timely project financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts
pre-billing reports for project managers to review
actual costs, working capital, and tax reports
receivable income and supporting project managers with collections
with issuing invoices and purchase orders, as well as assist with paying consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills
a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner
contracts according to client requirements and reporting associated budget amendments
Project Accountant Requirements
Degree in Accounting, or 2 years’ experience as a Project Accountant
to report to the Accounting Supervisor and other project managers
in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations
to prepare project budgets, financial forecasts, and tax reports
of best practices in accounting
communication skills toward effective team collaboration and client services
