IT Operations Center Analyst (Remote)

A financial services company in Missouri is currently seeking a new IT Operations Center Analyst to join their team in a Remote capacity. In this role, the IT Operations Center Analyst will be re responsible for system monitoring & operations, capacity & performance monitoring & management, and supporting implementations, upgrades, and patching for all database environments.

About the Opportunity:

Assignment Length: 6 months

Shift: Nights (3rd shift)

Hours: 11pm to 8am (CST)

Responsibilities:

The IT Operations Center Analyst (Remote) will:

Translate functionality requests from business leaders and Senior Management into technology solutions

Make recommendations for system modifications to optimize performance and reduce user problems

Liaise with Developers, Application Support, Infrastructure, and Security teams

Interact with equipment vendors and service providers to stay updated on technologies

Monitor data center operations, backups, and nightly batch processes, addressing issues as they arise

Provide expert technical support over the phone

Manage technical domains, ensuring supportability and upgrade paths

Develop and document local policies and standards

Manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish

Lead problem resolution, providing clarified documentation for technical staff

Participate in rotational on-call responsibilities and occasional travel

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in an Information Technology and/or Datacenter Operations role/setting

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related field

Experience with monitoring tools like Solarwinds or SCCM

Experience scheduling and managing backups

Familiarity with job scheduling and Workload automation software

Strong knowledge of SQL, including DML, DDL, and DCL commands

Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server

Basic Linux shell scripting knowledge

Basic understanding of MS Office, Active Directory, and Windows networking

General knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals

Desirable:

Experience with MS SQL Power BI, PostgreSQL, NoSQL

Data Warehouse experience

Application Server experience with Oracle WebLogic, IBM Websphere, or Apache Tomcat
