AWS Cloud Engineer

A client located in Central Ohio is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform, leveraging a wide range of AWS services and technologies.

Implement infrastructure as code principles using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

Develop automated deployment pipelines and workflows using CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD to streamline the deployment of applications and services on AWS.

Implement security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and security monitoring.

Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure resources, including storage and networking, to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.

Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions on AWS, including multi-region architectures, data replication, and automated failover mechanisms.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform.

Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

Strong scripting and programming skills, with experience using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
