Job Overview

Assist the Finance department and serve as a liaison to the parent company, while completing the monthly corporate financial requirements.

Written and verbal communication of business results in both English and Japanese.

Organize/coordinate monthly forecast and report results of previous month with the corresponding business leads and prepare a presentation of information along with market information.

Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

Prepare a variety of other reports and analysis on income statement, balance sheet, working capital.

Maintains and updates the monthly and quarterly financial analysis reports and presentations.

Prepares departmental monthly budget vs actuals report, Gross margin variance analysis, and distributes information to key stake holders.

Perform analysis on individual product lines profitability and cost variances.

Prepare and/or assist in ad hoc jobs, including capital acquisition analysis, new business venture analysis. Also includes presenting findings from analysis to the Director of Accounting/Finance, Board members, and/or parent company management.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

Education: BS of BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study from an accredited university.

1-3 years’ experience in corporate work environment

Bilingual Required (Japanese and English)

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (verbal and written)

Proficient in delivering presentations and effective communication with diverse audiences.

Financial presentation or modeling experience required.

Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint).

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always wear the appropriate safety equipment, including gloves, glasses, aprons, belts, etc.
