Job Title: Junior Paralegal

Location: NY, NY (Midtown)

Hours: Minimum of 50-55 hours of work per week, requiring onsite presence five days a week

Pay: $27-31 per hour

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Entry-Level Paralegal in New York. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and at least 1-2 years of relevant legal experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Review various legal documents, extract pertinent information, interpret metadata, and upload documents to databases.

Generate reports from internal databases as requested.

Prepare documents for execution and follow up on fully executed documents.

Assist with the opening of bank accounts by providing necessary documents.

Conduct audits of internal databases as scheduled.

Support departmental audit requests or projects as needed.

Serve as a backup to the records coordinator, responding to and liaising with internal and external stakeholders for document retrieval requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to establish efficient work processes.

Experience with document scanning and database uploads.

Demonstrated ability to deliver precise and timely work.

Effective multitasking and ability to work under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Initiative, analytical skills, and integrity.

Sound judgment, confidentiality, and discretion.

Strong interpersonal skills and confidence.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Experience in a regulated environment and familiarity with legal documents preferred.

Additional Information:

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with high-level stakeholders.

This role reports to a Senior Paralegal and supports Senior Corporate Attorneys in reviewing contracts, trading agreements, and other important documentation.

Candidates should have some legal experience through internships or relevant coursework.
