LOCATION: San Jose, CA - HYBRID

DURATION: 6 months

PAY RANGE: $60-$70/hr

COMPANY:

Our client, a multinational e-commerce corporation, is looking to identify a Product Manager IV to join their team.

You will drive a product area within our seller mobile and web experiences and supporting tools. You will define the overall product strategy for one or more seller facing experiences, prioritizing a roadmap that aligns our platforms and services against a cohesive and consistent experience catered for our unique seller communities.

You obsess over solving meaningful customer problems with both impactful and measurable outcomes. This role requires exceptional execution and communication skills, having demonstrated the ability to connect and collaborate both within our team and with partners. Our team values center around collaboration, acting with urgency, connecting with sellers, and most importantly, having fun.

Primary responsibilities:

- Obsess the Customer & Overall Quality of Experiences. Demonstrate a relentless focus to listen to our end-users and feed their voice into our product development process. Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle. Build processes for continuous improvements.

- Collaborate with supporting product, design and engineering teams to align plans, and gain support across functions: analytics, marketing, operations, sales, and strategy.

- Synthesize customer insights, quantitative and qualitative data, and business strategy into product concepts and requirements.

- Understand our strategic and market position for sellers and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry.

- Conduct competitive analysis by critically evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of competitive offerings.

- Breakdown the feature-set into manageable tasks. Follow Agile methodologies to create actionable epics, user-stories, bugs and technical specifications for the prioritized product feature.

- Develop a clear understanding of the technical architecture and design to identify the dependencies. Work with Engineering partners to define the scope and timelines.

- Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders through regular meeting cadences to track progress, identify risks and report status to leadership.

- Drive engineering discussions to convert customer problems into functional and technical requirements and architectural solutions. Lead technical scoping discussions, evaluate development cost, make trade-off decisions based on engineering effort and customer impact.

- Work closely with engineers during software development, review test cases, lead software testing sessions to ensure a high-quality product is built and released that meets SLAs (Service Level Agreement).

- Coordinate software releases, including release notes, training, and marketing, to maximize the impact of end-to-end product solutions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role a candidate must have:

- Strong customer empathy.

- A passion for building great user experiences across web and mobile devices.

Solid technical background, experience managing software products using agile methodologies.

- Customer/user focus and have a "can do” attitude.

- Ability to write clear, complete, and implementable user stories and specifications.

- Excellent project management skills and the ability to coordinate and work on cross-group projects.

- Design and problem solving skills to come up with innovative and creative solutions.

- Capability to work independently and drive projects with many moving parts.

- At least 5-years of experience as a product manager working on user facing products.

- Experience with e-commerce as a seller, product manager or frequent buyer.
