Cost Accountant

BGSF has partnered with a growing company in the southeast side of Houston and is seeking a Job Cost Accountant to join their team. This accountant will have a dual role of being responsible for assessing expenses compared to contract agreements and the administrative function of a time-keeping system that requires data entry and cost control practices.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop spreadsheet reports, verify information, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts and balance sheets.

Review and correct discrepancies on daily information forms.

Responsible for the maintenance and data in the timekeeping system.

Verify daily allocation and authorization from data and related timekeeping.

Review and modify time-keeping work processes as needed.

Assist supplier timekeepers and others.

Review and approve service invoices

Assist with the collection of receivables

Respond to general customer questions and resolve issues per the contract agreement.

Prepare weekly job cost reports, reconcile open job cost items, and provide support for any customer change orders.

Prepare various reports and handle confidential information.

Backup to the Controller.
