Valleywise Health Foundation is the nonprofit partner to Valleywise Health, the public teaching health system serving Maricopa County for nearly 150 years.

As the Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing marketing strategies across various media platforms. Your primary goal will be to increase awareness, engagement, and support for our mission-driven initiatives through marketing media including videography and photography. This role involves overseeing both organic and paid social content, graphic design, video production, photography, and collateral creation. In addition, you will collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Director of Strategic Implementation on marketing campaigns and direct mail strategies. You will work with various teams across both Valleywise Health Foundation and Valleywise Health to develop compelling content and leverage digital tools for effective outreach. This position requires a creative mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in our community.

Responsibilities:

Digital Content Creation:

Shoot, edit, and produce multimedia content such as videos, photos, graphics, and infographics to convey our mission and impact.

Review content documents for consistency, relevance, and brand compliance.

Organize multimedia assets for internal and external use in accessible folders.

Implement creative storytelling strategies to engage current donors, re-engage lapsed donors, and acquire new donors.

Initiate and maintain contact with members of the Valleywise Health and Valleywise Health Foundation to gather information, story leads, and materials for social media posts, print features, and web publications.

Conduct interviews, often sensitive in nature with patients, families, and clinicians and gather materials to produce storytelling content for use across multiple channels and avenues.

Marketing Collateral:

In collaboration with vendors and the Marketing and Communications team, design and develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.

Coordinate with vendors and printers for production and distribution of printed materials.

Manage donor signage from design mock-up through printing and installation.

Campaign Coordination:

Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute marketing campaigns aligned with organizational goals.

Track campaign performance, analyze results, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Brand Management and Communication:

Maintain brand integrity and donor voice across all marketing materials, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.

Create written and visual communication materials that align with communication strategies and resonate with our target audience, personalized to the donor, or intended audience.

Operations:

Manage inventory of all on-site and off-site marketing-related signage and collateral, ensuring it is organized and easily accessible.

Develop the annual marketing budget in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager, Senior Director of Strategic Implementation, and Chief Advancement Officer.

Events:

Attend and assist with all Valleywise Health Foundation fundraising and donor engagement events.

When needed, support with Valleywise Health community events.

Attend external community and engagement events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in one of these areas.

Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.

Proficiency in photography and videography production and editing.

Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign), email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, DotDigital), and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize strategies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and editing.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to our mission and values.

Reporting Structure:

This position works collaboratively alongside the Senior Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Implementation, and under the guidance of the Chief Advancement Officer.
