QA Engineer - Trading Application

Salaried role with full benefits.

position includes 2 weeks PTO and 5 sick and paid company holidays

Manual QA to test trading application

Work location: Woodbridge, NJ

must be in the office 3 days a week every week and more in the beginning for training on LongView.

Internal Interview Process Details - 2 interviews - our current qa team, service dleivery mgr and client so three rounds

Shift(s) - 8.30 am to 5.30 pm et

Projected Start Date - May 28, 2024

Projected End Date - never long term we have had this for 8 years so far

Test and validate that all applications and enhancements meet current company standards.

Create, maintain and execute test scripts to ensure program functionality and data quality are met.

Ability to work with moderate supervision and within standard operating procedures

Essential duties & responsibilities

·Test and implement new applications or enhancements for our trading system

·Work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure user expectations are met

·Strong analytical skills and detail oriented

·Review Business requirements and identify gaps

·Create and update test scripts

·Execute test scripts and document results

·Ability to determine a realistic priority of issues

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES

Monitor project status and prioritize work

Demonstrate flexibility when moving from project to project

Should be able to work under pressure

Certifications

ISTQB CTFL a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree or a related discipline, teamed with 2 years of testing experience on enterprise applications

Experience

2 years minimum QA experience in Financial institutions including trading applications

2 years minimum experience executing test scripts and documenting results

Must have very good experience with SQL

Application knowledge

Quality Center ALM

Jira

Prioritizing and managing workload

Determining the priority of a defect/issue

Escalate when critical funcationality is not working as expected

Competencies

Able to devote additional hours if needed to meet deadlines

Able to perform duties in a collaborative space

Additional qualifications

Experience in test automation using UFT or Playwright a plus

Trading application experience required

Experience in Agile Methodology

Able to design and maintain simple queries
