The FOH Supervisor is responsible for how the front-of-house is ran working closely with the General Manager. The ideal team member is dedicated to their fellow team members and to the guests we serve. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greeting customers with a smile and happy demeanor; engage with and understand our customers, including identifying and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
Maintain complete knowledge of baked goods and the menu
Supervise the front-of-how while upholding our standards of excellence and hospitality
Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond guests complaints in a professional manner and taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
Inform the General Manager of any foreseeable shortages before items run out.
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance dining areas while being compliant with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality service
Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations
Taking orders from guest and packing all retail items and bread orders carefully and efficiently
Running food and drinks to customers in a timely fashion
Rotating stock using the FIFO method
Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security
Prepare and package food and beverages to our high-quality standard recipes including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
Additional duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to learn quickly
A food handler’s and TABC certification where required by local and state health code regulations
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
