Job Description
The Applicants primary responsibility is to assist in preparing estimates on new projects and estimating prices on change orders on existing contracts. – Contract Administration – After award
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Works closely with the Senior Estimator to assist in day-to-day task
Prepares and estimates budget costs for projects by studying plans and specifications.
Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for all project
Communicate costs, materials and scheduling with internal and external project teams
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with company vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
Manage bids from vendors and contractors
Responsible for proposal writing functions ensuring estimates are consistent, well-written, and complete.
Follow up on proposals sent
Obtain prices from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare written correspondence and technical reports as required.
Perform and record the following contract administrative roles.
Contracts/RFI’s/Submittals/Change Orders/AIA documents/Proposals/Insurance
Order and Manages Materials
Track Accounts Payable and Receivables
Assist in scheduling Manpower
Qualifications:
Ability to read drawings and perform take offs
Knowledge of the following A+
Bluebeam
Procore
Building connected
Sage
MS Excel
Salesforce
Dropbox
Minimum of three years of estimating experience in a construction industry
Must be detail-oriented while also having the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
