Description:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple product categories.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.

- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.

- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.

- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.

- Assess, manage and mitigate risks.

- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.

- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.

Software/Tools:

- Procurement and Supplier Management Software: Manage sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier relationships.

- Data Analysis and Reporting Tools: Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and track key metrics.

- Forecasting and Market Analysis Tools: Forecast market trends and analyze price trends.

- Risk Management Tools: Assess, manage, and mitigate procurement risks.

- Communication and Collaboration Tools: Facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.

- Contract Management Software: Manage procurement contracts and ensure optimal terms.

Skill set:

- In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, with the ability to "read" the market and anticipate trends.

- Exceptional negotiation and networking skills, with a talent for building and maintaining productive supplier relationships.

- Proficiency in supplier or third-party management software.

- Strong decision-making abilities, with a knack for working with numbers and analyzing data.

- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive procurement decisions.

- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.

Experience:

- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement.

- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market.

- Good sourcing and procurement knowledge in different products and industries.

- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.

- BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.

Additional Advantages:

- It will be advantageous if the candidate speaks some of the following languages: Mandarin (Chinese), Hindi, Spanish

- It will be beneficial if the Candidate has lived in China and has experienced factory sourcing in-person
