Full-Time Governess - Chelsea, London

A warm and loving family in central London seek a fantastic, proactive, and educated live-out or live-in governess/ex-teacher for their two children, aged 6 (B) and 5 (G). The schedule will be 5 days per week, including working alternate weekends, from 7am until 7pm daily.

Responsibilities will include all care pertaining to the children including, but not limited to, school drop-off and pick-ups, keeping their areas clean and tidy, menu planning for the children, prepping school lunches, and taking the children to activities and on outings. Please be confident in taking on all aspects of the children's care and well-being - from organising play-dates, excursions, and meet-ups, to managing wardrobes, schedules, packing and unpacking, personal shopping, and menu planning. There may be international and domestic travel, and expect also to take full charge when the parents are away. The family are busy and seek a nanny who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is completely reliable, and who demonstrates initiative and adaptability. Time management is extremely important - the day starts early and they don't enjoy last minute rushing around! You will also be taking on some PA duties or family assistant responsibilities to help Mum out, so prior experience in a similar role would be preferred.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, engaging, and warm, with a real love for children, strong communication skills, and a smart and professional demeanour. An educational background is essential, and experience in fully-staffed households is a must. As you will be working alongside a number of household staff, a team-player mentality is essential. Mum will also be around, so this is very much a team environment focused on providing the best possible support for the children and the family in general. Engaging with the children's interests, encouraging learning through play, and being developmentally focused are important components of this position, as are being super-organised, clean and tidy. The family seek a nanny who can contribute to a fun, engaging, happy and creative environment, who is comfortable with setting clear boundaries but who can instil respect in a gentle, supportive way. If live-in, separate acccommodation will be provided.
