The Role

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking an architect or engineer with computer programming experience to join the CORE studio Application Development team, a dedicated software development team within CORE focused on building custom applications for TT and our clients. You’ll be a key part of the team supporting the numerous project leaders and working closely with development teams within CORE studio. The goal of the position will be to develop and maintain computational engineering and design tools that provide value to TT’s practices and technical staff. You’ll need to be highly motivated and have demonstrated professional experience in developing novel computational solutions to engineering and/or design problems. You will work in a highly creative and collaborative environment as you support, build, and maintain applications for the broader staff.

Requirements:

•Excellent english written and verbal communication skills.

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or civil/structural engineering.

•Programming experience with C#.

•Proficiency with Rhino & Grasshopper, Revit, and their respective APIs & SDKs.

•1-5 years’ professional experience as a practicing engineer, architect, or designer in the building professions.

•Schedule flexibility to maximize alignment with european and american time zones.

Additional Skills:

•Understanding of web development.

•Knowledge of SAP2000, ETABS, and Tekla.

•Familiar with WPF, MVVM, and Material Design is a plus.
