Maintenance Specialist - Your future position?

As the Maintenance Specialist, you will provide advice and support to Engineering & Maintenance teams in a specific technical discipline of engineering, including planning, designing and monitoring progress of related engineering activities. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager while being based in Smithfield, Sydney.

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

Provide highly specialized support for task execution in one of the Engineering or Maintenance areas, such as Automation, CAD, Scheduling, Planning, etc.

Input and maintain job plans in scheduling software, generating various reports, diagrams, and summary bar charts to accurately reflect work progress and plan changes.

Prepare work orders, internal credits, and maintenance projects for modifications and new installations in alignment with Engineering requirements and standards.

Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and associated peripheral equipment to perform scaling, dimensioning, line locating, and necessary calculations.

Manage minor Capex projects from initiation to execution within budget constraints.

Review all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) maintenance-related safety action items, develop plans, and execute them.

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and issue reports upon request.

Administer contractor interventions on site, including conducting risk assessments and managing licenses to work.

Classify, sort, and distribute work requests based on various criteria such as emergency, safety, GMP, shutdown requirements, reliability, engineering, and priority status.

Assist in solving audit actions (GIA and CIMA).

Your professional profile includes:

6-8 years of work experience in Maintenance, Electrical Engineering or relevant.

Vocational diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (pre-university level); additional qualifications related to electrical engineering are advantageous but not mandatory.

Exposure in Hazardous area classification is highly ideal.

Candidates from relevant manufacturing backgrounds such as food, chemicals, or semiconductors are encouraged to apply.

Specific technical experience in other fields (e.g., draftsman, technical designer, calibration, etc.) are good-to-have.

Familiarity with project management principles such as, KPI, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar.

Solid understanding of project engineering and EHS.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of SAP.

Strong learning agility and problem solving skills are essential.

Ability to work independently and proactively.

Able to work in Smithfield, Sydney.
