Job Description

Database & Backend Development Engineer - FULL REMOTE/WFH (Pacific Time)

This person should be experienced with small to medium size Agile Dev projects. Automotive Industry experience a plus but not necessary.

Experience with RESTful APIs concepts for accessing web services and its integration

Monitoring the health and performance of a relational database

Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data

Forecast future database needs, and collaborate with stakeholders to plan for database capacity and scalability

Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL

Familiar with data layers for Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Experience with code versioning tools (such as BitBucket and GitHub)

Familiarity with deployment tools (such as TravisCI)

Experience with CI/CD

Experience with using JIRA for creating and updating assigned User Stories

Very strong knowledge and experience with backend development such as Node.js

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills

Good time-management skills

Debugging and troubleshooting

Nice To Haves:

Knowledge of Apigee API gateway.
