FARM TRACTOR & WATER TRUCK DRIVER
Essential Job Functions:
Operates water trucks, dump truck, and tractors in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs pre-shift inspection of equipment daily and documents on appropriate equipment care and use form.
Performs preventive maintenance, such as adding fuel, coolant, oil and air as necessary or in accordance with maintenance schedule.
Adheres to daily work assignments, including the use of tools and equipment, as instructed by the supervisor or lead. The work schedule and breaks will be determined by the work crew assigned or as directed by the supervisor.
Remains with the work crew assigned until further notice by the supervisor or lead.
Returns all tools and equipment to locked equipment room daily.
Immediately reports problems with tools, equipment, or work assignment directly to the supervisor or lead.
Participates in meetings, training and other company-related activities as scheduled.
Seeks out the assistance of a supervisor to address questions and concerns.
Assists other landscape employees within the assigned area, as needed.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license 2-3 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
No recent moving or driving violations
Class A driver’s license
Must be able to obtain a Racing license
Must be able to work in excessive heat, dirt, and dust/debris
Must have experience driving a manual transmission
Must be able to operate a 190 horsepower tractor
Must have experience with dirt implements.
Ability to work varied hours/days, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Medium to Heavy workload
Stand, sit and walk consistently
Will be required to lift up to or over 20lbs or exert occasionally over 100lbs
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to effectively communicate in English
Must be able to read and write English
RESPONSIBILITES:
Operate the tractor on property
Inspect the tractor’s mechanical state and keep Director aware of any mechanical issues
